HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Ribbon Feet Set
The HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Ribbon Feet Set allows you to easily create beautiful decorative ribbon embellishments. This set includes three different feet designed to accommodate ribbons ranging from 6 mm to 13.5 mm in width. It is ideal for sewing lightweight flat ribbons such as organza. For varied effects, you can also cut your own ribbons from fabric either straight or on the bias. When creating spirals or swirls, sew from the inside out for the best results.
Compatible with HUSQVARNA® VIKING® machine groups 1 through 9.
How to Use:
Stabilize your fabric using an iron-on or tear-away stabilizer. The amount needed depends on the fabric thickness.
Always test on a fabric scrap before beginning your project.
Thread your machine with thread that matches your ribbon.
Select a straight stitch to avoid damaging the presser feet or breaking the needle.
Choose Ribbon Foot 1, 2, or 3 based on the width of your ribbon. The ribbon should fill the slot in the foot but still move smoothly.
Thread the ribbon through the front slot of the foot, leaving about 2 cm behind the foot.
Snap the foot onto the machine.
When sewing, guide the ribbon so it flows smoothly, placing it over your shoulder or to the right side of the machine.
For free-motion sewing with ribbons (available on machine groups 1 and 7-9):
Prepare your machine for free-motion sewing according to your User’s Guide.
Hold the ribbon end at the start and guide the fabric lightly while turning it to change direction.
