Time: approx. 2 – 3 h  including preparation and cutting

Difficulty level: 3

Materials: lycra

1. The pattern, even if it’s free, can be found on the Internet by typing “free leggings sewing pattern”.

In these specific leggings, the back has been divided so that there is a yoke in the pants, if you do it yourself, remember about the seam allowances.

2. When you’re done with the back, it’s time to sew the front parts together.

3. The entire leggings, i.e. the legs on the outside and in the crotch.

4. A belt with a back pocket for a key or other small items.

First,  determine the waist circumference, then subtract about 12-15 cm + seam allowances, cut out a wide strip and two smaller rectangles to which the zipper will be sewn. The longer strip and the two rectangles are to have a total circumference that was set for the belt (of course, taking into account the allowance).

Cut the second strip of this circumference and width as one piece, do not divide it into parts.

Sew in the zipper.

Sew the part with the zipper to the rest of the belt.

Cut out one more rectangle with the dimensions of the already sewn-in rectangle with a zipper. Place this one on the rectangle with the zipper and sew its edges to the seam allowance of the rectangle with the zipper.

This is what a ready pocket in the belt looks like.

6. Now joint the belt with the pocket to the second, one-piece strip of the same width and length. Joint them on the upper edge, sew the lower one into the leggings.

Turn to the right side.

Sew the leggings belt.

7. Finally, remember to finish the legs and your leggings are ready!
