Add a designer touch to your home décor projects with the PFAFF® Welting Foot. Specially designed to work with larger-sized cording, this foot lets you quickly create custom welting or piping to enhance cushions, pillows, upholstery, and more. It functions similarly to the Piping Foot but accommodates thicker cords, making it ideal when commercial trims don’t match your project.
Use it to cover raw edges or make decorative accents using fabric of your choice. It’s perfect for sewing seams with inserted cording or for creating bias-covered piping for a truly professional finish.

How to Use:
Cut a bias strip long enough for the cord and wide enough to cover it with seam allowance.
Place the cord on the wrong side of the fabric strip and wrap it around.
Place the wrapped cord under the groove of the Welting Foot with raw edges to the right.
Select a center needle straight stitch (stitch length: 3).
Sew along the cord to encase it neatly in fabric.
Trim seam allowance.
To attach the finished welting: place it on the right side of the fabric along the seam line and stitch it in place using the same foot. Clip corners and curves if needed.
