The PFAFF® Wing Needle Size 120/21 is a specialty needle designed for heirloom sewing and decorative hemstitching. With its distinctive wide “wing” flanges on each side of the shaft, this needle creates deliberate holes or openwork in woven fabrics, especially linen and cotton, giving your project a traditional, elegant appearance.
As the wing needle pierces the fabric, it cuts a small opening, while your sewing machine forms stitches around the edge of the hole. This effect is perfect for decorative applications like entredeux, heirloom lacework, hemstitching, and delicate embellishments on garments, linens, or home décor.
