SINGER® Overcasting Presser Foot
Prevent fraying and give your fabric edges a clean, serged look with the SINGER® Overcasting Presser Foot. Ideal for finishing seams on woven fabrics, this foot is designed to help you achieve a professional edge finish without the need for a serger. The built-in metal bar keeps the fabric flat and supports thread loops as they wrap over the edge, preventing curling and unraveling.
Perfect for overlock, zigzag, or similar stitches, this foot helps maintain a smooth, even edge and minimizes distortion during stitching.
How to Use:
Snap the foot onto your machine.
Align the fabric edge with the guide on the right side.
Select an overlock, zigzag, or similar stitch.
Adjust stitch width and length as needed to avoid hitting the foot’s center bar.
Sew, keeping the fabric edge aligned with the foot guide.
Note: SINGER® models 4208 and 4212 require the Universal Shank (SKU#250052596) to use this snap-on foot.
Compatibility: Fits SINGER® machines from the CA, CB, CC, CE, EA, EB, EC, MA, and MB series.
