HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Blindhem & Lace Foot
The Blindhem & Lace Foot is a versatile accessory designed for precise and professional finishes. It allows you to sew invisible hems as well as attach lace with ease. This specialized foot performs hemming, trimming, and overcasting in a single step, saving time and ensuring clean, beautiful results.

It is especially useful when working on garments where a clean and hidden hem is desired, such as skirts, trousers, and formalwear. For lace applications, it helps attach lace with perfect alignment, whether for decoration or insertion techniques.

Blind Hem Instructions:

Set the machine to the desired overlock stitch.

Snap on the Blindhem Foot.

Fold and press the hem. Turn the hem back on itself toward the fabric’s right side, leaving approximately ¼” (6 mm) of edge exposed.

Place the hem under the foot so the fold rests against the guide.

Adjust the guide by loosening the screw so the needle just barely catches the fold.

Guide the fabric carefully, keeping the fold aligned with the guide at all times.

Once stitched, unfold the fabric and press gently from the wrong side.

Always test on a fabric scrap before sewing your main project.

Lace Application Instructions:

Select the appropriate overlock stitch.

Snap on the Blindhem Foot.

Place the wrong side of the lace against the right side of the fabric.

Position the fabric and lace under the foot so the fabric extends to the right of the guide, and the lace header aligns with the left.

Adjust the guide so the needle just catches the lace header.

Sew, keeping the lace consistently aligned with the guide.

Once complete, open the lace and fold the seam allowance to the back. Press gently.

For insertion lace, repeat the process on the opposite side of the lace.
