HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Button Presser Foot
The HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Button Presser Foot is specially designed to sew buttons onto fabric with ease and precision. This foot raises the button slightly off the fabric, creating a slight thread shank which makes buttoning easier and prevents the button from being sewn on too tightly. It ensures perfect results every time, whether you are attaching buttons to lightweight or heavier fabrics.
Compatible with HUSQVARNA® VIKING® machine groups 1 through 9, except for the EMERALD™ series, EDEN ROSE™ 250M, TRIBUTE™ 140M, 145M, and ONYX™ series.
How to use:
Thread your machine with matching sewing thread on top and in the bobbin. Snap on the Button Foot. Use the presser foot extra lift feature if available to make attaching easier.
Adjust the Retractable Thread Shank Guide to the desired position for no shank, a short shank (for lightweight fabrics), or a longer shank (for heavier fabrics).
For buttons smaller than 1/4” (6 mm), use the Button Placement Tool by inserting it into the button holes. Avoid buttons thicker than 1/8” (3 mm).
Insert the Button Placement Tool with the button into the slot on the foot to position the button correctly.
Remove the Button Placement Tool.
Select “Button Sewing” on the SEWING ADVISOR™ and adjust stitch width as needed.
Sew on the button following your machine’s User Guide.
