HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Flat Felled Foot 9 mm
The HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Flat Felled Foot 9 mm is specially designed to create durable and professional-looking flat-felled seams, such as those commonly found in jeans. These seams are strong, neat, and also popular for home décor projects where a decorative finish is desired. The foot is ideal for use on medium to heavy weight fabrics to achieve the best results.
This foot guides you to sew precise double rows of stitching on the right side of the garment, giving a clean and polished appearance. It also helps in folding and stitching the seam allowances neatly for a durable finish. If you prefer a single row of stitching, you can adjust the technique by stitching the right sides of the fabric together.
Compatible with a wide range of HUSQVARNA® VIKING® machine groups (1 through 9), this foot is not suitable for EMERALD™ 122, 118, 116 machines, EDEN ROSE™ 250M, TRIBUTE™ 140M, 145M, or the ONYX™ series.
How to Use:
Method One:
Snap on the Flat Felled Foot 9 mm.
Place the wrong sides of the fabric together, overlapping raw edges guided by the red markings on the foot. The lower fabric aligns with the marking on the right side, and the upper fabric follows the front right marking.
Stitch with a straight stitch.
Press the seam allowance to the left.
Fold the wider seam allowance around the narrower one using the guides on the foot and stitch in place with a straight stitch.
Method Two:
For patterns with a 15 mm (⅝”) seam allowance, use the outer right markings on the foot for both layers. Trim 6 mm from the top seam allowance, then proceed as in step four above.
