HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Narrow Zipper Foot
The HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Narrow Zipper Foot is a precision tool designed to help you sew zippers with professional accuracy and ease. Ideal for inserting both standard and lapped zippers, this foot can be snapped to either side of the needle, allowing you to stitch close to zipper teeth from the left or right as needed.
The grooves on the underside of the foot provide extra grip on specialty fabrics, ensuring smooth and even feeding throughout your project. Whether you’re sewing garments, accessories, or home décor, this foot is essential for achieving clean, consistent results when working with zippers.
Instructions for Sewing a Lapped Zipper:
Baste the zipper seam.
Select a center needle position straight stitch.
Snap the Narrow Zipper Foot to the left side of the needle.
Fold the seam allowance narrowly and place the zipper face-up under the fold. Stitch from the bottom of the zipper up to the fabric edge.
Fold over the opposite fabric edge over the zipper and seam allowance.
Snap the foot to the right side of the needle and stitch from the right side of the fabric, starting below the zipper bottom and sewing to the edge.
Remove the basting using a seam ripper.
