How to Use:
Attach the Interchangeable Dual Feed Foot or the Quilt Binder Foot for IDF System.
Set your machine to a straight stitch or hand-look quilt stitch.
Secure the attachment plate onto your machine’s stitch plate using the included thumb screw, aligning the rear pin with the top opening.
Mount the binder onto the attachment plate and secure with screws and washers.
Measure the total edge length of your project and add at least 6″ (15 cm).
Cut 1 3/4″ (45 mm) wide strips of lightweight woven fabric, join the strips, and taper the leading edge into a point.
Use tweezers to feed the strip (wrong side facing you) into the funnel of the binder.
When the strip exits the binder, hold it with your left hand and continue guiding it into the funnel to form a double fold.
Raise the presser foot, pull the strip under and behind the needle (approx. 2.5″).
Slide your quilt (right side up) into the binder slot.
Adjust needle position to align perfectly with the folded edge and begin stitching.
To Finish the Binding:
Sew around the project edge until the beginning and end of the binding nearly meet.
Trim excess from the starting edge, overlap the end, and continue stitching slightly beyond.
Remove the quilt from the binder, trim the tail to about 1″ (2.5 cm), fold the raw edge inward, pin, and stitch to secure.
Please mention your machine model in the order so we can send you the correct foot.
