How to Use – Setup:
Remove the ankle/shank from your machine.
Replace the needle clamp screw with the longer screw included with the Ruffler.
Mount the Ruffler with the fork positioned over the needle clamp screw and secure with the accessory thumb screw.
Set your machine to straight stitch only.
Reduce presser foot pressure if needed.
Use the adjusting lever to set pleat frequency:
1 = pleat every stitch
6 = pleat every 6 stitches
12 = pleat every 12 stitches
0 = disengage pleating function
Turn the adjusting screw to set fullness (right for deeper, left for lighter pleats).
Set stitch length between 2.5–3; shorter lengths produce tighter pleats.
How to Sew:
To ruffle fabric:
Place fabric to be gathered into the guide slots and between the two black blades.
Lower the presser foot and sew evenly at medium speed.
To ruffle and attach to flat fabric at once:
Place flat fabric (right side up) under the Ruffler.
Insert ruffling fabric (right side down) into the guide and blades.
Sew—ruffled fabric will be stitched directly to the flat fabric beneath.
