The PFAFF® Blindhem Foot for IDT™ System is the ideal solution for achieving neat, nearly invisible hems with ease and precision. Designed specifically for use with the IDT™ system, this foot ensures even fabric feeding on both layers, making it ideal for hemming trousers, skirts, dresses, curtains, and more.
The unique design of the foot allows the needle to catch only a few fibers of the fabric, securing the hem in place while keeping the stitches barely visible on the right side of the garment. With this foot, you can create professional-looking hems without the need for hand sewing, significantly saving time while maintaining a refined finish.
It also supports elastic blind hemming, where the hem edge is finished simultaneously with the hem stitching. This makes it especially useful for fabrics that don’t fray easily and where a clean, minimal finish is desired without the need for serging or additional overcasting.
Simply fold the fabric as instructed for blind hemming, align the guide of the foot with the folded edge, and select the blind hem stitch on your machine. Adjust the needle position as needed to ensure the stitch just bites into the fold. The built-in guide helps maintain a straight stitch line and consistent results.
