Whether you’re a patchwork enthusiast or a precise topstitcher, this foot ensures your seams are accurate and even. It features a clear body for improved visibility and a fixed guide on the right side, set exactly 1/4″ (6.3 mm) from the needle. This makes it ideal for piecing blocks together and for achieving consistent topstitching at a precise distance.

How To Use This Foot:
For Piecing:
Snap the Clear 1/4″ Right Guide Foot onto the machine.
Engage the IDT™ system for consistent fabric feed.
Select a straight stitch.
Place two fabric layers right sides together, aligning their edges with the right-side guide.
Sew while keeping the fabric edge gently against the guide—this results in a perfect 1/4″ seam.
For Topstitching:
Attach the foot and engage the IDT™ system.
Select a straight stitch, reinforced triple straight stitch, or hand-look quilting stitch.
Position the fabric or quilt under the foot, using the guide flange in the seam or along the fabric edge.
Sew around blocks or along edges for beautiful, even 1/4″ topstitching.
Important Note:
For machines with a manual presser foot lift, avoid lifting the foot to its highest position when the needle is down, as the threader or needle bar may contact the guide flange. Only lift the foot as high as necessary to pivot fabric freely.
