The Clear Stitch-in-Ditch Foot is specially designed to provide excellent visibility and precise guidance when quilting along the seams of your pieced quilt top. Its transparent design allows you to see exactly where you are sewing, helping you create perfectly centered stitches right in the “ditch” (the seam line between quilt patches).
This foot is ideal for quilters who want consistent, professional results with ease. The guide on the foot fits snugly into the seam, ensuring your stitching stays perfectly aligned throughout your quilting project.
How to Use:
Attach the Clear Stitch-in-Ditch Foot securely to your machine.
Engage the IDT™ system for even fabric feeding.
Select a straight stitch or a stitch with a centered needle position such as reinforced straight stitch or hand-look quilt stitch.
Place your quilt under the foot, fitting the guide into the seam (ditch) between quilt patches.
As you sew, the foot’s guide will follow the seam perfectly, ensuring accurate, straight quilting lines.
Important Note:
For machines with manual presser foot lifts, avoid raising the presser foot to the extra high position when the needle is down. This may cause the needle holder to contact the guide. Lift the foot only as high as necessary for pivoting the fabric to allow free turning.
