The PFAFF® Gathering Foot is the ideal accessory for effortlessly creating gathers on lightweight to medium fabrics. Designed for the admire™ 1000 overlock machine, this foot allows you to gather a single layer of fabric or simultaneously gather one layer while attaching it to a flat layer – perfect for ruffles, decorative edges, children’s clothing, and more.

How to Use:
Set your overlock machine to the desired stitch.
Snap on the Gathering Foot.
Place the fabric to be gathered (right side up) between the needle plate and the foot.
Insert the second, flat fabric layer (right side down) into the upper opening of the foot.
Lower the presser foot and sew, letting the bottom fabric feed freely to form gathers.
Tips to adjust gathering fullness:
Increase the needle thread tension
Set the differential feed to a higher number
Lengthen the stitch
You can also gather a single fabric layer by adjusting the stitch length, differential feed, and thread tension.
