Sew invisible zippers with ease and precision using the PFAFF® Invisible Zipper Foot. This presser foot is specially designed to help you achieve a flawless, professional finish on garments, home décor, and accessories where a concealed zipper is desired. Perfect for dresses, skirts, pillow covers, and more, the invisible zipper foot allows the zipper coil to be placed directly under the groove in the foot, ensuring even stitching close to the coil without damaging the zipper.
The clear visibility of the zipper’s seam line combined with the groove design ensures that the foot glides perfectly along the zipper teeth, flattening the coil slightly for accurate placement. With a few careful steps, this foot makes inserting an invisible zipper quick and frustration-free.
How to Use:
Mark the zipper length on both sides of the fabric opening.
Attach the Invisible Zipper Foot and select a straight stitch (center needle position) with stitch length 2.5–3.0 mm.
Open the zipper and gently flatten the coil with your thumb—do not iron.
Pin the zipper in place so the coil lies on the seam line, 1.5–2 cm below the top edge.
Lower the foot so the coil lies in the groove. Sew the right side of the zipper, then repeat for the left.
Stitch the lower part of the seam with a regular zipper foot.
Press the seam open.
TIP: If the zipper is too long, sew over the end of the coil 2 cm below the opening using a straight or narrow zigzag stitch, then trim the excess and cover the raw edge with fabric.
