The PFAFF® Narrow Piping Foot is designed to easily add delicate piping to your garment or home decor projects. Whether you are working on fashion, upholstery, or decorative crafts, this foot helps you achieve precise and clean results.

How to Stitch Piping Into a Seam:

Snap on the Narrow Piping Foot.

Place the piping with raw edges along the seam line on the right side of the fabric. Place the second piece of fabric on top, right sides together.

Position the fabric and piping layers under the foot, ensuring the piping sits in the groove underneath the foot.

Sew using a straight stitch at length 2.5. The groove guides the piping perfectly as you sew.

How to Make Piping From Your Fabric:

Snap on the Narrow Piping Foot.

Cut bias or crosswise strips wide enough to cover the cording plus seam allowances.

Lay the cording on the wrong side of the fabric strip and fold the fabric over the cord.

Place the fabric and cord under the foot with the cord fitting into the groove on the underside.

Sew with a straight stitch at length 2.5. The groove helps cover the cord evenly with fabric.

Use your handmade piping in your projects following the steps above.

Tip: When sewing piping into garments, adjust the needle position one setting closer to the cord to cover the first stitching neatly.
