PFAFF® Open Toe Free-Motion Spring Foot
Spring Action for Superior Results and Fewer Skipped Stitches
The PFAFF® Open Toe Free-Motion Spring Foot is designed with a special spring mechanism that keeps the fabric from lifting with the needle while you sew or quilt in free-motion mode. This ensures smoother stitching and reduces skipped stitches, providing superior results.
How to Use:
Disengage the IDT™ system.
Loosen the presser foot holder screw completely and remove the holder.
Place the Open Toe Free-Motion Foot around the presser bar and attach it using the included screw. Ensure the metal arm on the foot is positioned above the needle clamp.
(Hint: Lower the needle slightly to make it easier to position the foot correctly.)
Thread your machine.
Select a straight stitch or a zigzag stitch (maximum stitch width 5.0).
Set your PFAFF sewing machine to the spring foot free-motion position. On some machines, the feed dogs will drop automatically; on others, lower them manually (refer to your owner’s manual).
Note: When the feed dogs are lowered, the machine no longer feeds the fabric. You must manually move the fabric to create stitches. Maintain a consistent speed and smooth motion. The red markings on the foot help guide you when stippling or following a design.
Compatible with machine groups: J, L
Please mention your machine model in the order so we can send you the correct foot.
