PFAFF® QUILT BINDER
MACHINE COMPATIBILITY: J, L
The PFAFF® Quilt Binder allows you to quickly and evenly attach binding to your quilt projects for a professional finish. It precisely accommodates quilt layers and creates a 1/2″ (12 mm) wide finished binding.
Compatible with J and L model machines.
Note: J model machines require Needle Plate 412964309 (sold separately).
Use a 1-3/4″ (45 mm) wide strip of lightweight woven fabric for binding. Attach the Quilt Binder foot and set your machine to straight stitch or hand-look quilt stitch. Install the attachment plate on your machine’s stitch plate and secure it with a thumb screw. Attach the binder and adjust it to align properly. Prepare fabric strips by joining them and shaping ends into points. Feed the fabric strip into the binder with the wrong side facing you and guide it through to create a double-fold tape. Adjust stitch position for precise sewing.
For corners, sew to the quilt edge, fold and press corners to create mitered edges, then continue sewing. To finish, overlap binding ends, trim excess fabric, fold and sew the seam for a clean closure.
