PFAFF® Stitch-In-Ditch Foot for IDT™ System
Machine Compatibility: B, C, D, E, F, G, J, K, L

Perfect for precision quilting, the PFAFF® Stitch-In-Ditch Foot is designed to help you achieve neat and nearly invisible quilting seams. A center guide on the foot fits precisely into the seam of patchwork pieces—also known as the “ditch”—and ensures your stitches follow that seam accurately. This technique allows you to reinforce your quilt layers without drawing attention to the quilting stitches.

Ideal for both beginners and experienced quilters, the Stitch-In-Ditch Foot is especially useful when you want to quilt along seam lines without disrupting the overall visual appearance of your patchwork design. The included guide follows seam lines precisely, providing clean, straight results.

How to Use:

Snap on the Stitch-In-Ditch Foot.

Engage the IDT™ system for even fabric feeding.

Select a centered needle position stitch, such as a straight stitch, reinforced straight stitch, or straight stitch hand-look quilt stitch.

Place the quilt under the foot, aligning the guide with the seam line between your quilt patches.

Sew slowly and allow the center guide to ride along the ditch while stitching.

Important Note:
For machines with manual presser foot lift, avoid using the extra high lift position while the Stitch-In-Ditch Foot is attached, as the needle bar may touch the guide. If your needle is in the down position, lift the presser foot only as much as needed to pivot the fabric.

Please mention your machine model when placing the order so we can send you the correct foot.
