The PFAFF® Zipper Foot is an essential accessory for achieving professional-looking zipper installations. Designed to snap on either the left or right side of the needle, this foot allows you to sew very close to zipper teeth for a clean, precise finish. It’s ideal for centered and concealed zippers, giving you maximum control and visibility.
This foot is perfect not only for inserting standard zippers but also for sewing piping or other trims close to fabric edges. It works seamlessly with the IDT™ system for consistent fabric feeding, even on fine or slippery materials.
How to Use (Centered Zipper Insertion):
Overcast the seam allowances and stitch the fabric pieces right sides together up to the zipper mark.
Baste the remainder of the seam closed and press the seam open.
Position the zipper face down, centering the teeth over the basted seam. Extend the pull above the garment edge and baste in place.
Attach the Zipper Foot to your machine, snapping it to the left or right depending on your stitching side.
Move the needle position so it stitches approximately 6–10 mm from the center seam line. Sew both zipper sides and across the bottom.
Remove basting stitches and press.
