The Open Toe Free Motion Spring Foot provides excellent visibility when doing free motion quilting or embroidery. The open front allows for easy stippling and following fabric patterns or drawn designs. The spring action helps prevent the fabric from lifting with the needle, reducing the risk of thread breakage—especially helpful when using heavier or specialty threads. For best results, always use a needle appropriate for the thread type.

How to Use:
On Sapphire series, select “Free Motion Spring Action” in the Set Menu.
On Designer series, select “Sensor Q Foot” in the Set Menu.
Remove the ankle and attach the Open Toe Free Motion Spring Foot.
Bring the bobbin thread to the top by taking one stitch.
Lower the presser foot.
Move the fabric smoothly and consistently while sewing. The stitch length is determined by the movement of your hands.
